2025 Family Reunion Update!

Registration Form

Join us for our 49th Apgar Family Reunion on September 20, 2025

We are excited to welcome you to the 49th Apgar Family Reunion, scheduled for Saturday, September 20, 2025. This year marks our fifth virtual reunion and will be the first time we host both the in-person and virtual programs together at a new location. I was recently notified by the leadership of the North County Branch of the Hunterdon County Library that our reservation would not be honored since it violates several library policies. So, I moved us to another venue in the Hunterdon County area. We will now be meeting at the Zion Lutheran Church Education building at 18 Miller Ave, Oldwick, NJ 08858.

Whether you’re joining us in person or from home, this hybrid format makes it easier than ever for Apgar descendants near and far to stay connected.

Planning Your Visit

In-person guests should plan to arrive starting at 10:00 AM.

Virtual attendees will need to receive login credentials in advance to access the online stream. Connection instructions will be sent after your registration is confirmed and will also be available on apgarfamily.org.

Program Overview

We’re thrilled to welcome a rich lineup of presenters this year:

  • Elyse Ross of Last Leaf Genealogy will kick off the morning with a beginner-friendly session on tracing your roots.
  • Fred Apgar, author of Return to the War on the Plaine des Jarres, will share personal stories and insights from his fascinating book.
  • Garry Apgar, Yale PhD and author of Mickey Mouse: Emblem of the American Spirit, will explore his latest research and reflect on the Apgar legacy in American culture.
  • John Apgar, President of the Apgar Family Association, will conclude the day with a look at the history of Apgar, Montana, informed by resources from Glacier National Park’s archives.
